Hi everyone!
I've been stepping by this message board from time to time... and it's really a depressing and frustrating thing to see so little names every time I log in ... therefore I decided to introduce myself to all of you finally as well!
Who am I? I was born long before the "Blair Witch Project" fascinated thousands of people and I was born long after the legendary Beatles released their song "Yellow Submarine". To be honest... my birth certificate says I'm much older than I actually feel. Therefore... my felt age is 20 - believe it or not. ;D
In the 80s there was the overwhelming wave of italo music... and I surfed it, too. There were great guys, amazing songs, extraordinary artists and performers and Baltimora was definetely one of it... at that time, however, it was not really clear which role the "face" appearing on our TV screens actually played. It was the time of playbacks anyway.... At that time I started the fan promotion for another well-known German artist. (For more details visit our homepage www.younggenerationxxl.com
Nearly twenty years later, in 2006, we (some creative heads of the former team here around) decided to promote artists and songs related to Italo music to make them "immortal" and introduce them to the "younger generation". And, of course, we chose Jimmy McShane aka Baltimora as one of the greatest acts out of that time... unfortunately only as a memorial and tribute page... what it would have meant to all of us if Jim was able to answer questions related to his life and career these days! But life goes on...
Having spent many nights searching the net for information on Jimmy I luckily found this page (thank you so much for it, T.B.!!! ) and I noticed that there are still some fans around, spread all over the world! And I noticed that there are some members who really tried to come up with another homepage and idea to promote Baltimora... please, go on!
Let's work together and share that much information as possible to make the rare performances of Jim McShane immortal... that's what WE can do!!!
Would be nice to see you at our homepage as well... maybe you feel like to leave some comments, etc., too...
