Before Baltimora, Maurizio Bassi started his career as a songwriter with the song "Shine on Dance" released under the name Carrara (Alberto Carrara, who mimed the lyrics in public appearences but wasn't involved in the creative process, much like McShane): youtube.com/watch?v=HtPxyZLGLi8A year later he co-wrote "Welcome to the Sunshine", again released under the Carrara label: youtube.com/watch?v=enGYEOW4zBkThe vocals sound exactly the same as the Baltimora tracks, so they probably were both performed by Bassi. The second song is really close to the style he used with Baltimora except for the violin, which was probably added to make it more sound like the previous hit. Bassi wrote an entire EP under the Carrara name titled "Shine on Dance", which is unfortunately pretty rare; other Carrara songs like Disco King or SOS Bandido were not made with the involvement of Bassi. Earlier in his career, he arranged the italian opening theme to the japanese cartoon "Sandy Bell", which is pretty cool if we can stand the incredibly annoying vocal (and visual!) part: youtube.com/watch?v=cuTxxPFHZMk
