Hi everybody!
I'm a 22 year-old living in New York, and I actually only discovered Italo Disco a few short months ago this past March. Of course, during my initial delvings, I came across and fell in love with Tarzan Boy. Since then, I still don't own any proper Baltimora records, but I am a HUGE fan of the other singles, particularly Jukebox Boy.
But I think Tarzan Boy is actually a really beautiful song. It may be somewhat cheesy, but I think that its central theme is quite poignant. Choosing to isolate oneself despite longing for someone back where you once were, and sending out messages without knowing whether they will ever receive them; I find it very moving and I can relate to it, myself. I also think that it's musically touching, too. It always makes me feel a great nostalgia for my past, as well as being very fun. I sing it at karaoke too, and it's known as a trademark of mine amongst my friends.
I'm really happy this board exists and I'm excited to start posting.
